Christmas treats, tree decorating, and carol singing – this is what the International X-mas party at Od Nowa promises to be like on December 8th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The idea behind the event is international integration and shared fun in a festive atmosphere.
International students will have the opportunity to hear about Polish customs related to X-mas celebrations in Poland.
The event will be enhanced by the UniBand 23 band from Toruń University of the Third Age, who will perform well-known carols and pastorals. During the concert, participants will create a large chain, which will then be used to decorate the X-mas tree. After the concert, there will be time for workshops on ornament making, gingerbread decorating, and traditional Polish games and activities.
The event will also feature X-mas Eve dishes – croquettes and red borscht will be served as refreshments.
The meeting will be held in English.
Space is limited, and tickets are required and can be collected at the Copernican Integration Centre (room T.5) Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
The event is co-organized by the Copernican Integration Centre and the Department of International Partnerships and Educational Mobility. The event is supported by the Aleksander Jabłoński Foundation, the Ethnographic Museum in Toruń, and the Toruń Gingerbread Museum.
